Why fit a downpipe protector
A single forklift or reversing ute can crush an exposed downpipe, flood a car park level and shut down a loading dock for a day. A galvanised steel downpipe protector wraps the pipe, absorbs the impact and sits flush to the wall so no parking bay is lost. The standard unit is 150mm x 150mm internally, 1200mm high and 2mm thick, and fits common round and rectangular downpipes with their brackets.
Protectors are made in our Sydney workshop, so custom heights, wider profiles for clustered conduit, and powder coated safety yellow finishes are all available to order.
Frequently asked questions
Which downpipes does the 150mm protector fit?
Standard 90mm and 100mm round downpipes and 100mm x 50mm or 100mm x 75mm rectangular downpipes, including the bracket. Larger pipes or multiple conduits need a custom profile; send us a photo and measurements.
Is it rated for forklift impact?
The 2mm galvanised shield is designed to take forklift tyne, trolley and car bumper impact. In truck lanes, add a surface mount bollard in front for heavier protection.
What else should I protect?
