The Uneek Metalcraft 150mm Downpipe Protector shields exposed pipes, conduit and cables from forklift and vehicle impact in warehouses, car parks and loading docks. It wraps around the pipe and takes the hit, keeping the pipework behind it intact and the site free of leaks and downtime.
The design sits flush against the wall so vehicles can park and operate normally alongside it: no lost parking space and no awkward clearance issues. Built from 2mm galvanised steel with a full-height 1200mm shield, it covers the zone struck by bumpers, forklift tynes and trolleys.
Where downpipe protectors are used
- Car park columns and walls where downpipes run beside parking bays
- Warehouse and distribution centre walls next to forklift aisles
- Loading docks and truck turning areas
- Retail and commercial rear-of-house pipe and cable runs
Installation
Position the protector over the downpipe, mark the fixing holes on the wall, drill and anchor to masonry or concrete. No specialist tools are required beyond a hammer drill. Fitting takes about twenty minutes per unit. See our guide to protecting walls and pipes in car parks and warehouses for placement advice.

Frequently asked questions
Will it fit my downpipe?
The 150mm x 150mm internal profile suits standard 90mm and 100mm round downpipes and 100mm x 50mm and 100mm x 75mm rectangular downpipes, with room for brackets. For larger pipes, clustered conduits or a different height, ask for a custom size; protectors are made to order in our Sydney workshop.
Does it protect against forklift impact?
Yes. The 2mm galvanised steel shield absorbs and spreads the impact of a forklift tyne, trolley or car bumper so the pipe behind is not crushed. For high-speed truck areas we recommend pairing it with a surface mount bollard in front.
Can it be painted safety yellow?
Yes. The standard finish is galvanised. Powder coated safety yellow with reflective tape is available on request for sites that colour-code their traffic management.
What about corner protection?
Our stainless steel corner guards use the same approach for wall corners and are often fitted in the same job.
