The 90mm Surface Mount Bollard is the most popular choice for car parks, warehouse aisles and loading dock entrances where high visibility and quick installation are the priority. Finished in safety yellow with Class 1 red reflective tape, it meets Australian colour-coding requirements for commercial and industrial traffic management and stays clearly visible to drivers in all light conditions.
No core drilling is required. The surface mount base bolts directly onto existing concrete slabs, which makes it ideal where the slab cannot be penetrated or where bollards are added after the pour. All fixings are included.
Where the 90mm surface mount bollard is used
- Car park bays, aisles and pedestrian walkways
- Warehouse aisles and racking end protection
- Loading dock entrances and roller door edges
- Shopfronts and footpath edges where core drilling is not possible
Installation
Mark the four base plate holes, drill 12mm holes into the concrete with a masonry bit, then fix with the supplied M12 x 110mm Trubolt wedge anchors and torque to the anchor manufacturer’s specification. Allow one person about fifteen minutes per bollard on a sound slab. Full method, tools and spacing advice are in our surface mount bollard installation guide.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to core drill to install the 90mm bollard?
No. This is a surface mount bollard. The 225mm base plate bolts to existing concrete with the four M12 x 110mm Trubolt wedge anchors supplied. You only need a hammer drill with a 12mm masonry bit. Follow our step-by-step surface mount installation guide for hole depth, torque and slab requirements.
Surface mount or in-ground: which is right for my site?
Surface mount suits existing slabs, suspended car park decks and any site where the concrete cannot be penetrated. In-ground bollards give higher impact resistance but need a core-drilled or cast footing. Our guide to in-ground versus surface mount bollards compares both.
Does the safety yellow finish meet Australian standards?
Yes. Safety yellow with Class 1 red reflective tape is the recognised colour code for traffic management bollards in Australian car parks and industrial sites, and the reflective tape keeps the bollard visible to drivers at night. See our summary of the bollard rules and AS/NZS standards.
Is a galvanised version available?
Yes. The same 90mm x 900mm bollard is available hot-dip galvanised for coastal, outdoor and architectural sites where a yellow finish is not wanted.
What is the delivery time and cost?
Bollards are made in Sydney and ship Australia-wide. Freight is calculated at checkout by postcode. Bulk orders for car parks and warehouses can be quoted directly through the contact page.
